Jonathan Graab joined the Rule of Law Collaborative (ROLC) in May 2021 as Research Assistant. Previously, he served on active duty in the U.S. Navy, and later as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army working in military intelligence. Following those experiences, he transitioned into institutional finance as an Investment Officer for the South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission with a focus on risk and strategic asset allocation. He is a CFA® and CAIA® charterholder.
His professional interests are situated at the intersection of international law, global capital markets, and big data. He is a proficient statistical programmer and is enthusiastic about leveraging complex data in support of analytically intensive subjects affecting the rule of law internationally.
He holds an M.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Statistics. He is currently pursuing a J.D. at the University of South Carolina School of Law, with an anticipated graduation of May 2023.
