On April 14, 2017, ROLC staff and a small group of USC faculty participated in a luncheon with Dr. Jeroen van den Hoven, Professor of Ethics and Technology at Delft University of Technology. Dr. van den Hoven’s research interests lie in the ethics of technology, value sensitive design, and responsible innovation. Luncheon participants learned about Dr. van den Hoven’s work driving innovative approaches to interdisciplinary research in technology and ethics in the Netherlands, and luncheon participants discussed USC engagement with the Netherlands. Following the luncheon, Dr. van den Hoven met with selected faculty from the College of Engineering and Computing to discuss areas of mutual research interest.
