Since 2022, in partnership with Chemonics International, and with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), ROLC has worked to improve the Sri Lankan justice system through training and research in two key areas. First, ROLC is working directly with universities in Sri Lanka to help improve the legal education system. ROLC has provided assistance to the Faculty of Law at the University of Colombo, the Sri Lankan Law College, and the University of Jaffna in areas such as teaching methodology, legal English, legal writing, ADR, and other topics. Second, ROLC is working with the Bar Association of Sri Lanka to develop training modules, videos and other materials on negotiation, mediation, arbitration, client consultation, and other subjects.
