Dr. Cox joined the political science department in 2012. He holds a PhD from Indiana University and serves as Director of the Walker Institute for International and Area Studies. Dr. Cox’ research examines public policy issues in advanced industrialized societies. Many of his publications have examined the politics of welfare reform in European countries. His recent research focuses on the role of the European Union in promoting sustainability programs among its member states.
