For those interested in acquiring a deeper understanding of antiracist ideologies in the United States, the College of Social Work Book Club will be hosting an online discussion of Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s bestselling book, “How to Be an Antiracist,” on October 29th at 5:00 pm. This event will focus on the pervasive ramifications of racism in contemporary American society, equipping participants to actively combat it in their everyday lives. UofSC students, faculty, and alumni are also invited to join an additional online discussion with Dr. Kendi on November 9th at 4:00 pm, sponsored by the I. Dequincey Newman Institute for Peace and Social Justice, and the UofSC Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
