November 12: Folks Center for International Business to Host Forum on Global Risks

On Thursday, November 12th, from 4 PM t0 5:30 PM, the Folks Center for International Business at the Darla Moore School of Business will be hosting a special forum in collaboration with the Risk and Uncertainty Management Center. Dr. Preston Keat, Managing Director and Head of Political and Country Risk at UBS, one of the largest and most influential global financial services firms in the world, will be giving a talk on The Biggest Global Risk for 2021, followed by a Q & A session.  Dr. Keat is a worldwide leader on political risk and how it impacts different types of investments and industries, and built The Eurasia Group, a political risk consultancy, largely from scratch. In his role, Dr. Keat oversees UBS’ political and country risk team, which analyzes a broad range of economic and macro/ geopolitical themes and trends, and manages country ratings and exposure limits. Dr. Keat has also coauthored the acclaimed book, The Fat Tail: The Power of Political Knowledge for Strategic Investing.
