From June 27 – July 6, ROLC Deputy Executive Director Steven Austermiller provided in-person training programs to law professors at the University of Jaffna and University of Colombo in Sri Lanka. This training was part of ROLC’s project assisting these universities to modernize their law schools. Both schools are converting to English language instruction and need to develop Legal English courses, as well as legal clinics, advocacy skills and professional lawyering programs. ROLC will continue to engage with these universities as it expands its assistance to Sri Lanka in the coming years.
