Since September 2020, with support from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA), ROLC has worked to bolster Sri Lankan think tanks through a variety of capacity-building support in order to strengthen institutional effectiveness and improve research quality and impact. Additionally, ROLC has facilitated greater connections among Sri Lankan research institutes, and fostered new relationships with other think tanks in the region. Sri Lankan think tanks have also been paired with ROLC-affiliated faculty, who serve as their mentors. ROLC has awarded a number of research subgrants to several think tanks, and is collaborating with the Consortium of South Asian Think Tanks (COSATT) to plan a joint international workshop in the summer of 2022.
