On March 1, 2024, the University of South Carolina’s Rule of Law Collaborative (ROLC) met with Karel Fracapane, a Programme Specialist at UNESCO.
During the meeting, ROLC presented its ongoing projects in Ukraine, Moldova, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, highlighting efforts to enhance legal frameworks and promote rule of law reforms. UNESCO shared insights on its work on youth engagement.
ROLC participants included Deputy Executive Directors Karen Hall and Steven Austermiller, Senior Rule of Law Expert Scott Ciment, and Program Manager Atif Choudhury. Dr. Doyle Stevick, Executive Director of the USC Anne Frank Center, facilitated the discussion.
Both organizations expressed interest in further dialogue.
